Who is The Fashion Physician?
Hi, I’m Laura!I worked in the fashion industry and in ‘plastic surgery’ and this is the journey life took me, to become The Fashion Physician.
While I worked in fashion PR, I would handle the showroom like a doctor would his patients with love, care and attention. I was the one who cleaned, organized and tened to the clothes, shoes and accessories. I was the eyes and hands checking the condition of the garments making sure the clothes and shoes where ready to be displayed on the red carpet or magazines. Soon after, I was styling my own looks in magazines.
I was then blessed with the opportunity to be a mother. I decided to take a break with PR and do something that allowed me to be more present with my children.
I went from working with celebrity stylists, to working alongside some of the most recognized sought out plastic surgeons. I knew plastic surgery was the most aesthetic part in medicine.. the art.. that’s what pulled me into the field. Instead of altering clothes, the surgeons were altering the human anatomy. I was watching first hand individuals with insecurities become free and comfortable in their own skin. In the same sense, people glow with confidence with what they wear, people aslo glow with confidence when they feel free in their own body.
Though I loved working and being a part of aesthetic surgery, I decided to follow what sets my soul on fire - fashion.
I had the privilege of learning how to handle others emotions, values, and desires through the eyes of medical professionals. I incorporated that attitude of compassion, professionalism, and care into the field of fashion with a much greater vision than just 'wearing clothes and having just a closet'. My goal is that your closet may provide an atmosphere of peace, clarity & beauty allowing the clothes to compliment you.
